Message | "Feel free to oppose it and gift me more seats at the next election if that's what you want." i highly doubt you will. after the number of bills you've proposed, your positions are pretty clear, and you've rallied about as many supporters as you will. |

Message | As long as articles one, two, four, six, seven, eight, nine and ten remain in the bill, there is no chance of the LLP supporting it. 1. We deplore the use of WMDs and torture, for both these practices are barbaric and savage. 2. We support democracy, and won't limit citizenship or nationality, or the rights of those living in the Commonwealth of Luthori. 3 . We support aid and the acceptance of all refugees, just because they weren't born Luthori, doesn't make them any less deserving of decent living standards. 4. We support having politically independent government employees, for their role is not in politics, but serving the nation. We don't want to see the establishment of an empire, we do not want to return to a less civilised time, Luthori must be a beacon to those less enlightened parts of Terra, not become part of them. We have no problem with constitutional monarchies, but we have a problem with absolute monarchies. |

Message | These proposed changes are acceptable to the DUP. Establishing a constitutional monarchy is our real goal: the other stuff was just about winning votes. I'll keep this at the debate stage for now while we iron out the details. Call it a second reading. |

Message | The USD does not see how a constitutional monarchy can be in any way egalitarian. Monarchy is not compatible with popular freedom in the Commonwealth. |
Date | 20:41:37, August 21, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Constitutional Monarchy Bill |
Message | It's purpose is to remove the head of state from party politics, restoring dignity to the post by taking it out of the hands of grubby politicians (like us). |
Date | 20:44:29, August 22, 2005 CET | From | National Forwardist Party | To | Debating the Constitutional Monarchy Bill |
Message | it also takes the decision out of the hands of the people. if people do not get some say over who rules them, it is a dictatorship, no matter how many laws are in place limiting it. |
Date | 21:28:54, August 22, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Constitutional Monarchy Bill |
Message | What complete nonsense. It's a constitutional change that can be altered at any time with a 2/3 majority. Are you really saying HM The Queen is a 'dictator' and couldn't be removed if it's what the people wanted? Ask Charles I or James II about that! |
