MessageWe support all but Article 3. We realise that we just had Article 4 changed ourselves, but we consider this secondary to the other issues.

MessageArticle 1 should merely have a quota on the amount of fix that may be fished.

However, we are absolutely against the rest of the bill.

MessageYes. Banning fishing fixes a problem. The problem of much reduced (now, almost non-viable) fish reserves.

This is actually a process that has taken place in beautiful Likatonia cyclically. The fish stocks are restored, and some (more mercenary) party manages to pass legislation that re-commences their depletion.

MessageI see. Well, I assure you I will continue that cycle then. After the next election perhaps?

BTW - do you know that fish products are amongst the healthiest foods to consume? Wouldn't it be good for Likatonians to have fish on a daily basis?

MessageWe can import fish from non-Likaton waters. Also, people aren't prevented from fishing, just doing it commercially.

MessageThe Am PfS make an excellent point. Fishing has never been a big cashcrop for Likatonia... but we kick ass at techs and production. It is to our advantage to preserve our ecology where it does no harm to do so, and to - if need be - spend a small part of our industrial/commercial successes on buying goods from less savvy nations.

We are not above trading shiny beads with the Keymonese savages in exchange for a few boatloads of fish.
