Bill: Age of Retirement
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lourenne Democratic Party

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2466
Description[?]:
I propose changing the age of retirement to 70 instead of 68. It seems an odd age to retire at and having 70 as our retirement age will bring us a little in-line with our economically better neighbours. |

Message | I disagree. In fact, I think the retirement age is too late as it is. I shall be introducing an alternative bill. |
Date | 20:36:39, October 06, 2007 CET | From | Monarchism Démocratique et Fédéral | To | Debating the Age of Retirement |
Message | We feel that 70 is simply too old; we would lose more to inefficiency than we would gain from the expanded workforce. On the other hand, the age of 65 is too young, as it is in fact true that we need a large workforce to remain competitive. We will vote against both bills. |
