Message | I think euthanasia should be allowed but only under a investigation of their medical history. People who have mental illness may lack the proper judgment and possibly waste their lives. If they are in a state which is incurable and have no history of mental illness they should have the right to euthanasia. I think the one with the court order is a better alternative. |

Message | I agree with the SPL it should be up to the courts to decide whether a patient is fit to choose. |

Message | Where's the dignity in being murdered by your own family? Or forcing a doctor to break the Hippocratic oath and commit murder? Think of the torment the family and doctor will go through: in their mortal lives, living with the guilt, and in the eternal afterlife, where they will be punished for their crimes. |

Message | Firstly, I don't believe a judge is better placed (or more qualified) than a physician to decide upon the mental capacity of patients requesting euthanasia. Obviously if the treating doctor feels the patient is not of sound mind than euthanasia should be declined. LCUP, where is the compassion or indeed the peace in witnessing a family member tormented with pain and suffering, because that person's only chance of relief runs against the superstitions of a religion they may not even believe in? In previous bills you have argued quite passionately for the right of people to make their own decisions free from state interference. So why the hypocrisy in this case? |

Message | The court is deciding after through an investigation of the patients history of possible mental ilness. |

Message | We would not dream of taking away everyone's inherent right to kill themselves, and go to hell. To drag members of their family and the medical profession, and the judiciary to hell with them is unacceptable. |

Message | Again agree with our allies LCUP |

Message | Thus, once again, religion poisons everything. |

Message | I would vote for this if it had the court order instead of patient and doctor consent. |
