Bill: Let Each Party Establish Their Own Presidential Platform of 2466 Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kapitalist-Arbeitsfamilien Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2467

Description[?]:

As you may know, our party sent out a letter to each Party Leader in the Legislature advocating that for the elections of 2455/2459 that maybe we can experiment with proposing a "Presidential Platform," if you will, which would consists of ALL of the proposals and Treaty's that we would like to see enacted as the Law of this great Republic.

However, if you decided that that was a good idea, we must double the bill quota from 25 to 50 in which we can always RE-change the quota after the 2455/2459 elections.

This is a NON-Partisan bill. Thank you for your full support.

MessageWe retract. There is a large enough burden on Convocation already, and we require definitive evidence of benefit before we can approve this measure.

MessageUpon studying the Bill, we have concluded that while we would be willing to support extending the number of proposals distributed to each Party, we find the current proposed maximum accumulation to be far too high. This would drown Convocational democracy as we know it.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
