This legislation stipulates a full ban on public smoking that occurs in the PUBLIC AIR that belongs to the PEOPLE collectively. In other words, it balances the interests of citizens that want to smoke by smoking indoors in their homes, restaurants, bars, clubs, and even indoor places of employment at the discretion of the property owner with the interests of citizens that do NOT want to smoke. Message | What do you mean it will increase second hand smoke in households when the current law already allows smoking EVERYWHERE??? Rather, this bill says that the gov't prohibits smoking on PUBLIC property but leaves it alone on private property. |
