MessageI feel this will put off people joining the police force and is thus a bad idea.

MessageI'm against this. My parents are both in the military, and I don't think they would want to be bothered with something the police force could take care of.

MessageOOC: Please remain in-character during debates. If you want to talk Out of Character, please preface your statement with the acronym "OOC" and when you've finished talking OOC, use "IC" (acronym for In-Character") to indicate so. In this game you represent a political party, not a single person. At the very least you are acting as the leader of a political party.

MessageAh but not every situation the police can handel, for example, we might encounter an armed embassy siege. In which case we would be better calling in a special service branch, like ASAS (Alorian Special Air Service), you can hardly imagine a bobby with a 9mm pistol taking down a 7.62mm rifle wielding gunman in a kevlar vest!
We need to give our police the support they might need, indeed I believe it would boost their confidence as it would assure them that they would have a qualified supporting group!
