Bill: National Stability Initiative 1
Details
Submitted by[?]: Permissive Social Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2469
Description[?]:
Rampant democracy is eating away at the people's confidence in this nation. What is needed is some good old fashioned law and order. We propose extending the length of time between elections so that the parties of the day have time to make the hard decisions rather than looking over their shoulder to the next election. |
Proposals

Message | We like the concept of increasing the lengh of Presidential and Legislative terms, but we feel that 5 year terms is TOO long. Therefore we are abstaining. We support 48 months, or 4-year terms. |
