Bill: Emergency Actions Authorisation.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Adam Smith Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2099

Description[?]:

Under normal circumstances the Lodamun police force provide an excellent service to our people, and they do not need the support of the military. However if there ocurrs some major disaster, either natural or man made, such as a major earthquake, a dam failure, a severe wildfire etc, then our civilian emergency services should be permitted to request assistance from our military personnel. The decision to involve the military would be that of the state head of the service or services involved. It would not be a political issue. However to make this emergency support possible, our existing law has to be changed.

Please read this to mean police, fire service and paramedic or ambulance service, not just police.
