Proposed by Senator Metternich of the Catholic Counterrevolutionary Union on April 7th, 2098 ================================== THE SENATE of the KINGDOM of LIKATONIA WHEREAS prostitution is currently legal and even recognized as a profession in the Kingdom of Likatonia as of April 7th, 2098, RECOGNISING the detrimental effects of prostitution on the decency of our society, the health of our people, the structure of our families, and our public image, BAN prostitution and enumerate the crimes thereof: I. The prostitute (the person receiving the money and providing the service) may be guilty of the following crimes: a. Prostitution, which is performing or attempting to perform sexual actions with intent to be paid for said actions, and will receive a prison term of no less than two years and may be liable to a fine of up to $8,000LIK. b. Soliciting prostitution, which is stating that you will perform sexual actions for money with intent to carry out those actions, and will receive a prison term of no less than six months and may be liable to a fine of up to $2,000LIK. II. The prostitutee (anyone who either pays for the service or receives the service) are guilty of the crime of: a. Accepting prostitution, which is performing or attempting to perform sexual actions with person with whom there is an agreement that you will pay in return for those actions, and will receive a prison term of no less than one yeah and may be liable for a fine of up to $6,000LIK b. Requesting prostitution, which is asking another person for sexual services in return for money, and will receive a prison term of no less than four months and may be liable to a fine of up to $2,000LIK. |
