Bill: Ratification of the World Anti-Slavery Convention
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Rationalists (PrCoa)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2475
Description[?]:
Because of the recent act legalizing slavery in the République Fédérée de Jelbania, members of our own Senate have called upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign onto or draft a treaty seeking to ban the international practice of slavery. My review of existing world treaties located no treaty purporting to ban slavery. Consequently, I have drafted this World Anti-Slavery Convention to set in motion the creation of international against slavery. I therefore submit this treaty to the Senate of the Democratic-Republic of Aloria for ratification. Gen. Oscar Fairfax (ret.) Minister of Foreign Affairs |
