Message | The UU party strongly opposes a government allowing its citizens from owning guns without strict licensing regulations. Unrestricted gun ownership presents a clear and present danger to the welfare of citizens that go beyond the individual's need to own such. This position is consistent with our desire for Pontesi to operate a civilian police force rather than a military-dictatorship; guns are unyielding manifestations of power, and no one interest group (industry) or individual (unlicensed civilian) should have access to exercise this power indiscriminately. We find this bill grossly irresponsible. |

Message | The SDP takes issue with the UUP's characterization of our proposal as allowing "unrestricted gun ownership." There are restrictions in our proposal, namely those forbidding ownership by those with a violent past and/or mental illness. We believe this strikes the right balance between individual freedom and public safety. |

Message | Tremendous support from the Puritanical Party. This would allow more people to properly arm and defend themselves. |
