Bill: Sports Clubs

Details

Submitted by[?]: bran1322 Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2480

Description[?]:

Funding of national clubs for Olympics or the World Cup would be a good idea. It promotes sports and national pride. This could lead to children and adults playing more sports and being more active and healthy. I believe a healthy nation would save health care costs and increase productivity moreso than the cost to the government for jerseys and travel. Besides a good sports team can be a plus for the economy through more purchases and thus increased sales tax revenue.

MessageNo... the national team is part of the national sport association, which wasn't part of the state or goverment, because it is formed by all the private sports clubs.

MessageEven if so, still many good reasons to fund sports.

MessageActually this article proposes a Communist system that was used in the Eastern European countries and the USSR during the Cold War . Crvena Zvezda Belgrade , CSKA Moscow , CSKA Sofia , Dunamo Moscow , Dunamo Kiev are all teams that were founded by the state or the army ... That's why those teams were (and still) are dominant in their leagues . Imagine the state promoting by any means a team , so this team will advertise the State's superiority ... Propaganda tool ...

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
