Bill: Peace Keeping Force?

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamese Labour Workers Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2481

Description[?]:

I have been contacted by George Falco of the New Jakania Republican Party.

George Falco, Foreign Minister of United Jakania

Our govenment is sending peacekeepers to the current war between Beiteynu and Pontesi Commonwealth. We ask for your support to start a peace between them. Do you wish to join a possible multi-national force? We are organizing a multi-national force and we are currently going to host a peace conference.

Personally, I believe it's not our fight - and as such, should take no part in it. Your thoughts, please?

MessageWe belive we should send a peace keeping force, as long as our military personnels mandate and commanders is determined by us

MessageWhile we sympathize with the situation at hand we believe that we should not commit our soldiers to war that is none of our concern,

MessageI agree that this war is none of our concern. How can we possibly agree to commit troops to a multinational force when an international peace conference has not yet convened? If the question is 'Should we attend the conference?' - I support such measures. Under previous accepted conventions used during the Conference for Change in Deltaria, the Foreign Minister may be dispatched to such conferences with the support of either the President or Prime Minister to represent the United Republics. Since all these posts are occupied by the LWP, it may attend without PFP approval. As for commiting troops, I believe we would need to follow the War Powers Act - this law is technically non-binding (which is why I previously suggested a Constitutional Court). http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=134551

This is not war, this is enforcing a cease-fire agreement and sending peacekeepers.

MessageIt's still deploying troops overseas. I'd appreciate it if you stopped meddling in our internal affairs as you are commenting on semantics.

MessageNot much left to say - moving to a vote. Yes for sending troops, no for not sending.
