| Message | Here is an excerpt from the wiki: espite the nation's historical neutrality in international conflict, United Jakania maintains a significant defensive military force. Established in 2369, the Jakanian Armed Forces is comprised of three functionally seperate forces: the United Land Forces of Jakania (ULF), the United Air and Naval Forces of Jakania (UANF), and the Supreme Jakanian Special forces (SJSF). [5]. As of 2412, the nation is still undergoing a massive rebuilding project to restore its military, its capability and its functionality. 28 billion JAK is being allocated annually to the project. [6] As of 2412, the Jakanian Armed Forces are estimated to be comprised of 800,000 volunteers, with 920,000 in reserve. This is in part due to the nation's military being an all-inclusive employer; anyone with Jakanian nationality may register themselves with the armed forces, and play any role within it, regardless of race, gender, religion or sexuality. Primarily though, it is due to the nation's large and diverse population. The Jakanian Armed Forces, and their predeccessor organisations, are known for having never been deployed outside of the nation's own borders since the founding of United Jakania. However, they still engage in international wargames and training exercises, such as the Kanjoran Exercises, that took place across the eastern regions of Bogendo in December 2366. [7] So we can assume that our forces have grown substantially since then with our large budget. But how? By sheer man power, or tech, or intense training??? Do we have a large air force and navy, but a more moderate army / ground force?? I'd like to say that our weapons and vehicles are modeled more after some euro / russian designs. However I envision a more UN / NATO look.. which I guess is euro. What do you all think?? |

| Message | In our long presence in the nation of Jakania, and our on-again, off-again control of the positions of Supreme Governor, Prime Minister, Minister of Science & Technology, and Minister of Defense, we have consistently voted to increase both the Defense budget and the Science and Technology budget. The SLP, when we have held power, have most likely been concentrating a significant portion of both budgets into military technology, and would suppose that fancy tech improvements are likely to be the biggest contributor to our more powerful military. Likewise, when in power we have frowned on recruitment advertisement (though never reduced it, only failed to increase it) and refused to enact any drafts or conscription schemes, so we are unlikely to have increased the sheer number of soldiers by a significant amount, unless the population of Jakania as a whole has increased, in which case our military is likely to have increased proportionally. Note that this speculation only applies to the the periods of time while the SLP has held any of those various positions which, while a significant portion of the last hundred years, is by no stretch all of it. Plus we haven't held Defense for many decades, since 2454, it looks like. So take that however you'd like. |

| Message | The number of troops (I would say) has remained about the same, while Jakania's nuclear and WMD capability, along with that of its airforce, would have been the main areas affected. I think it can also be assumed that the ULF is equipped with up-to-date and effective tanks, APCs and the like. Is it possible that Jakania has some sort of missile defence system, possibly incorporating interceptor missiles, or even something a bit more experimental, like a railgun-based system for example. |

| Message | I would say that the ULP is quite large due to the fact that entire population is serving either a term in the military or the reserves by law. Technologically, our nation is very advanced. Our WMD's and nuclear storage and advancement has increased. Our Navy and Air Force have also advanced over time, with probably a dozen aircraft carriers, lots of destroyers, missile ships, gunboats, F-22 like fighter aircraft, B-2 bombers, V-22 ospreys, etc. |
