The current legislation was a mistake. 覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧 Be it enacted by the House of Representatives of Barmenistan: (1) All religion shall become illegal. All practice shall become prohibited. (2) Anyone strongly professing belief in any form of religion shall be placed in a state-run mental institution to be cured of the god delusion, rehabilitated, and released back into society. (3) The United Party of Church and People shall be required to change its agenda, change its name, and renounce its faith, or it shall become an illegal party and an enemy of the state. (4) Any attempt to or suggestion of an action that would legalize religion or the practice thereof in any form or fashion would be classified as a crime of high treason, and would be punishable by a minimum of a fine of 100 percent of the violators assets, admission to a state-run mental institution to be cured of the god delusion, and then permanent life placement into a federal prison. Message | How can a party that talks of freedom and human rights state that religion (both organized and personal in this case) should be banned?! How can you decree that a certain party is banned, simply for believing in God and saying that God's will should be incorporated into the government? How can you imprison a person for simply saying that a certain law should be changed? You wish to imprison for life AT LEAST 40.88% percent of the population (or in other words 58,353,804 Barmenistanians), and to institutionalize AT LEAST 6.96% (9,934,992 citizens). One question, are you insane? How in the world are you going to put 50 million citizens in jail, for life? How in the world are you going to institutionalize 10 million citizens? Why in the world would you waste billions of dollars on feeding millions of imprisoned believers when this money can go either back to the people or be spent on national projects such as improving infrastructure or technology or helping those in need? How in the world will you ban the country's largest political party which was preferred by 37 million voters in the last presidential election? My friend, if there is someone here who needs to be detained by the government it is you and your so-called President, not almost 70 million Barmenistanians. |

Message | Only you would be imprisoned for life. Everyone else would be rehabilitated, which, seeing that religion is such a big lie and hoax, could be done in only a couple of weeks. "How can a party that talks of freedom and human rights state that religion (both organized and personal in this case) should be banned?!" The same way that we can speak of institutionalizing pedophiles and rehabilitating sociopaths. There is no difference between them and religious people; they all are in just as bad of state, and they all need help. "How can you decree that a certain party is banned, simply for believing in God and saying that God's will should be incorporated into the government?" Because religion should never be part of any government...period. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
