Message | Our Coburan neighbors have formed this treaty. I said we would look into it, it looks good, we can still run our economy the way we want to I think. So take a look and debate about it. |

Message | We'd rather not see the Common Agricultural Policy in there, subsidies for farmers and price intervention should be decided upon at a national level, as it's our economy - the other principles of the Community are fine. |

Message | SRP, the vague writing over the CAP doesn't state that MEC would have full control of that. I think MEC would acknowledge the fact of us authorizing a CAP and let us deal with it in what we think is best. |

Message | We don't think we like parts of this. Particularly the bit about "Subsidies are to be paid to farmers growing particular crops". If it were just the free-trade agreement, we could get behind that. But we can't vote yes to ratify a treaty that both violates our sovereignty and forces us to hand out subsidies, which can only harm the economy. And even if it were vaguely worded, the implication would be bad enough. |

Message | I suggest we join, but only on the condition that we don't ratify article 5. If you can negotiate that, we'll happily support joining. |
