Message | If the existing Viceroy is re-elected, couldn't he just propose the same cabinet? |

Message | Yes of course he can, but the idea is that after election, a cabinet should be formed: it could the same if the Viceroy is re-elected and the balance of powers in the "Assembly" remains unchanged, but he will have to re propose it. |
Date | 21:36:47, November 05, 2007 CET | From | Individual Liberties Party | To | Debating the Resolution to improve the political system in the Holy Empire |
Message | It is the Viceroy's cabinet. He should choose to change it or retain it. |

Message | It is the Holy Emperor's cabinet, and it has to take into consideration the new balance of power in the Assembly. |

Message | I move that it does not require such consideration. Whether or not the Viceroy is part of the majority party, he should have express rights to the creation and maintenance of the cabinet. The votes of any other party, regardless of their new power in the assembly, should not affect his selection. The ratification of the cabinet by the assembly is in itself wrong. |

Message | If the elected Viceroy is not part of the new emerging majority in the Assembly, he will have to propose a new cabinet: this is called in democratic systems "cohabitation". |
Date | 21:54:18, November 05, 2007 CET | From | Individual Liberties Party | To | Debating the Resolution to improve the political system in the Holy Empire |
Message | The executive and legislative branches must be maintained separate. The legislature should have no powers over the executive branch, including the Viceroy's cabinet! |

Message | Well, in the game, any cabinet proposed should take into consideration the balance of powers in the Assembly. If you are against this, you will have to talk to Wouter (administrator). |

Message | if anybody is unhappy with the current cabinet then they are welcome to resign from it |

Message | We agree with this proposal: if any party feels that he is not OK with the religious principles of this government, then he is free to resign. |
