Message | "The Social Democratic Party proposes these meausres as a solid compromise aimed at leveling the playing field between workers and employers. We hope the other great parties of the Commonwealth agree. In regards to the first Article, we have proposed this reform as a matter of free will. We do not believe that the government should restrict who or why a union strikes, as long as that union has the support of a majority of its members. Which brings us to the second proposal. If a union member is not passionate enough to vote yes or no on a strike then we should not automatically count his vote in the negative. Only those members who are willing to take the time to vote should be heard. If it is good enough for our Parliamentary elections, is it not good enough for our nation's trade unions?" Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
