Bill: Mayoral appointments

Details

Submitted by[?]: Parti de Garde Royales

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2482

Description[?]:

It came to my attention that some citizens have no say in who their mayor is.

Some mayors in this country is chosen by oligarchical like structures, and I have even heard that some mayoral positions in remote places are hereditary, though I doubt this very much.

But that it could actually be so, is not good for our democracy, which is not that old.

I propose that all mayors in Lourenne be elected by the people in direct elections.
