Bill: A Bill to rationalise and stablilise convocation influence in Likaton Society

Details

Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2483

Description[?]:

The Convocation should be a guiding hand, not a bossy parent. Likatonians don't know the law from one season to the next, Likaton business is being hammered by constant changes in working practice, all prompted by a legislation-happy bureacracy.

This is BIG Government at its WORST!!! How can we tell individual members of the Legislature to ONLY submit a quota of bills??? Rather, in a free society, it should be UNLIMITED!!!

MessageWe fail to see the 'logic' (if there is any) behind the CWFP objections.

If a arty can't get what it NEEDS said, into 6 proposals per year, then perhaps that party is just wasting Convocation time?

MessageMore well thought out proposals, rather than a mess of populist quick fixes. We like this agenda quite a lot.

MessageIt seems logical to us that a small number of GOOD proposals, is better than any number of rushed bad ones.

MessageWhile it saddens us to see the numbers of DWP delegates decimated, we see this is an unfortunate and necessary step.

MessageAs a matter of possible interest, the AM SuDP intends to try to re-instate the historical 666 seats. It's unique, and has a long history here - it would be a shame not to try to preserve that.

But this bill was just too good to oppose.
