Bill: Coalition of September 2483
Details
Submitted by[?]: Computational Intellect Project
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2484
Description[?]:
We propose that the Liberal and Social Democratic Pacifist Parties fill the vacant seats left by the premature resignation of the United Party of Church and "People" from the cabinet. The liberal party, being larger, shall gain three seats, and the Social Democratic Pacifist Party, being smaller, shall gain two. We can not think of two nobler and more honorable parties to take the vacant positions in cabinet. They can do much more than the UPCP could ever do. We hold three seats, as do the Liberal Party, and the seats we hold are those that we specialize in. The Traviscist Party shall still hold five despite it not being the largest party, but we feel that they should not suffer for the childish actions committed by the United Party of Church and "People," and thus we do not remove any of their seats. And, we, the Sozialdarwinist Rat vom Übermensch, do deeply, gravely, and formally apologize to the Traviscist Party, Liberal Party, and the Social Democratic Pacifist Party for choosing to form a cabinet coalition with the United Party of Church and People merely because we thought that being the biggest party, they represented the people the most. We were wrong; the people were fooled, and we attempted to form a cabinet coalition under false pretense, and since have caused nothing but trouble and despair in the House of Representatives. It is for this that we are deeply sorry, and we also hope that all four of us parties gain a tremendous number of seats in the next election, and we hope to work together in the future, regardless of two of us having differing views on warfare. |

Message | Since the Traviscist Party and Liberal Party haven't been logging on lately, we may have to propose this bill immediately after its failure. Do not be surprised when we do so. |

Message | Due to major political differences with the SRVU, we cannot now, or in any other comvievable circumstance enter coalition with the formentioned party. The Liberal Party calls upon all left, and centre parties to work together to protect this nation from extreamists. We will never sacrifice justice for the sake of power. |

Message | Well, well, well... Another Cabinet proposal killed... SRVU, in real life there would be thousands of protesters banging on the gates of the Presidential Palace and the House of Representatives, pleading for someone to take control of the situation... And that is how fascist dictators get their power, from situations such as the one you have created and refuse to resolve... |

Message | "Presidential Palace" A little bit of an overstatement? Nietzsche does NOT live in a "palace." "thousands of protesters banging on the gates" Mostly radical religious psychos, and the rich would send thugs and assassins after Nietzsche. The atheists/agnostics, middle-class, and poor would not be banging on our gates; that is who we serve. If anything, MILLIONS of middle-class, poor, and atheists, much larger groups of the population, would be assaulting your party's headquarters for trying to turn the nation into a theocratic dictatorship and take away all their freedom. If anything, the chairman of your party would have been shot by now. |
