Let's see if there's enough support for common sense just yet. This is a good way to get a better representation of ideas and I'm not leaving this up for debate because time and time again, a good reason not to support has not been put forward. |

Message | This will probably fall about 12 or 13 vote short this time, which is a huge improvement over the last time if the same parties still support it. If a coalition that would be broader and comprise more parties, there is no reason they should be denied. And to the LVB's erroneous and continuous argument that it would refute the will of the people, please tell me how a broader coalition that comprises of majority of seats and election votes is doing that. If it's a coalition that doesn't hold a majority, it's going to not pass, so where's the grounds for opposition? |

Message | oh - I was wrong, the parties that voted for this all together have 4 less seats. |

Message | Have you read what I really say? Do not make false statement about what I say to prove your point! I said letting minority parties like yours, ARF and VDP to propose cabinet is against democracy. |

Message | how is it against democracy? Again, what they said was that the cabinet will still have the majority of seats. I don't understand how that's against democracy. The only reason you want to keep this law in place is so that you and the VNU can keep their deathgrip on this country. The vast majority of valruzians vote against your parties, why can't their views be represented in a cabinet??? |

Message | Besides, your arguemnt of "undemocratic" means nothing. Why is it undemocratic? Maybe if you explain yourself instead of attacking the fringe parties you could change some minds. |

Message | No, they don't vote agaisnt us. If they do, they will have not voted for us to the most voted party! If they really want you to take power they will have voted for you and we'll accepted it. I have explain myself about why in previous votation. So rewind in time a little to read what are my thoughts about the issue! And I am not attacking anyone, this is not a offense to say that the SP are a minority party if it is the truth (29 seats). In democracy, this is a real principle that who wins the elections should be the cabinet and they should propose to others to form a cabinet. Not parties who don't have a good representation in the parliament. Like you (MP) are waiting for such an opportunity to bring chaos to Valruzia, we will stand against that. It will bring political unstability because anyone would have the opportunity to propose a cabinet. It happen before and that's why the law change as it is now! We could agreed to change the law, but any of you will have to agree to let the iniciative for the largest party to form the cabinet. But the greed of power of some parties... make us think twice... |

Message | Thank you for clarifying your position. It makes alot of sense. We apologize if our statements seemed uncivil, but we are getting quite frustrated with the current system - alot of small parties are. We have faith that if this law passes, the cabinet formed will be of like ideology and will NOT be done so just to destablize government. I would like to give an example: If you look, the SP, and us have a very similar ideology. We also tend to agree with the WP on most aspects. So if together we have a mjority, though none of us are the largest party, why then can't we form a cabinet? It would still be democratic - the dominating ideology (not party) would be in control. THAT is why we respectfully disagree with you. On a side note: To be honest, we seem to but heads alot, and I don't think we should. You at the LVB seem to be intelligent, but MOST parties (not just you, and well, us included as well) don't really debate the issues. They just fire off derogatory rhetoric. I think if we outlined our positions more, like we've been doing lately, this government will become a lot more civil. Anyways, when considering this vote, we suggest you keep in mind this quote from Thomas Jefferson: "He who trades liberty for security deserves neither and will lose both." We are just very worried this law can (and, will) be used to institute an Oligarchy in Valruzia. |

Random fact: When forming a cabinet, try to include as few parties as possible, while still obtaining a majority of the seats. |
Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
