Bill: Organ Donation Deregulation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Liberal League
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2484
Description[?]:
This is a part of the human body that the government has no right intruding in without consent. Without outright consent, alleged "implied consent" is not consent. If someone wants their organs donated, they can still make arrangements by other means without governmental interference. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning organ donations.
Old value:: Unless otherwise stated, consent is assumed.
Current: Organ donations are legal with personal consent.
Proposed: The government enforces no regulation whatsoever.

Message | We would disagree on this point: once the person has died they are essentially no longer a person. Unless in their lifetime they state that they don't want their organs harvested they should be up for grabs. Unless you can convince me otherwise. |

Message | I don't neccessarily disagree, but I think the concept of "implied consent" is flawed and in reality not consent at all. |
