Bill: Executive Terminology Act of 2483

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2484

Description[?]:

Considering that the Head of Government and Head of State are now two separate elected officials, we feel that they need new names, as the way it stands currently both positions have the same title.

Therefore we propose Premier for the Head of State and Chancellor for the Head of Government.

MessageIt is only necessary to change one title.

The IndCoa would like to to suggest that the title for head of state remain Archon.

and

that the title of Head of government be changed to Prytaneis.

OOC: In ancient greece, the Prytaneis was the executive of the Boule (a council responsible for directing the governments everday affairs). It seems to be a fitting title.

MessageWhy does everything have to be Greek themed.

Technically Sekowo is made up of North Amerindian, Nordic, Aztec and Greek cultures, not just Greek.

MessageI don't think that "Chancellor" is Aztec. The Greek is the source of the democratic spirit. The native polities were mostly aristocratic or monarchial.

We agree with Indcoa's great suggestion, although "Prytaneis" is the plural form.
