Bill: Corporate Tax, May 2484

Details

Submitted by[?]: Computational Intellect Project

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2485

Description[?]:

We still have an unnecessarily large surplus, and the corporate tax, a tax unfair and unethical in nature, and detrimental to the creation and growth of small business, is unneeded to pay for the government budget.

Even if the corporate tax is cut, we will still have a surplus.

And isn't it interesting how we stated earlier that the more you cut taxes, the more revenue your taxes will generate, and now that very statement seems to be coming into effect. In a period of one month after the dropping of the income tax, the budget revenue rose by 25 billion BAR. If we cut the corporate tax, it will rise more.

MessageThis cut will raise tax revenues for the taxes we already get, much like cutting the income tax raised revenue by 25 billion BAR from existing taxes in only one month of the new tax cut being in effect, and also this elimination of the corporate tax will help small business. Inevitably, many of the larger corporations find ways to evade this tax anyway, and even if they didn't, they can afford it. Yet, the small business struggles just to survive and our government persistently taxes them anyway, slowly pushing them into failure.

Messagebut surly we shoud re invest our surplus into more benficial projects because althought the larger parties dont like to admit it we have large areas and communities who are living in poverty!!!

so the question needs to be asked by the people why is this money not being spent?? is there no social conscience within our government?? does the gov not support the idea of helping the people?? how about spending more money in education?? in job creation?? in health care?? and into research into energy sources, industrial techniques, drugs etc etc

Message"we have large areas and communities who are living in poverty!!!"

Provide the evidence for this. As far as we're concerned, we have one of the lowest poverty rates in the world, as well as one of the world's strongest economies. Lowering taxes will only strengthen the economy.

And even if we did have poverty, lowering taxes always helps.

Messagehow does lowering taxes always help??

wel some 800,000+ people have qualified for help under various schemes for lower income families in the past 3 years.

althought not all have applied for their rightful relief the fact that so many have fallen into that bracket within the past 3 years is a worrying trend

MessageWhere do you get these statistics?

Lowering taxes always stimulates the economy, and thus a better economy will create more jobs.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
