Message | Some people are not suited to the military. Those trained in the sciences or laws, for example, will do much more useful work in a civilian position. |

Message | Not to mention those people who are ideologically opposed to the military. We are on the line with civil rights as it is, people should still be allowed some choice. |

Message | Companies love people who have served in the military. Especially if they have full experience in said area that they were hired in. |

Message | Me thinks that year military could just as well be a lost year. And if a person had gotten some other practical work experience, or got an additional master or something during that year in stead of learning how to march and how to be yelled at, companies would love it just as well, or maybe better. |

Message | gd point glds. also if everyone is being trained you are training potential criminals as well, surely not the most sensible idea.se who are disillusioned with life, and turn to a life of crime, giving them skills to put to use inTHAT area whereas they are unlikely to develop into hardened criminals from doing CNS. we feel the current legislation allows for people who arent suited to the military to do civilian national service which they can enjoy and share some good expeom doing riences with others and cement their own "affiliation with the nation". that won't happen if people don't look back favourably on serving their county |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
