Bill: Cabinet Proposal (Continued) February 2486

Details

Submitted by[?]: Independence Coalition

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2486

Description[?]:

In an effort to share power with all the parties of Sewoko in a manner proportion to seats in the legislature we have seen fit to alter our cabinet proposal in accordance with the following

13 seats available.
IndCoa will be apportioned .233/1 (3.029 seats)
DSP will be apportioned .136/1 (1.768 seats)
PSFVP will be apportioned .125/1 (1.625 seats)
CeC will be apportioned .114/1 (1.482 seats)
SCP will be apportioned .108/1 (1.404 seats)
USMC will be apportioned .102/1 (1.326 seats)
AuP will be apportioned .089/1 (1.157 seats)
HDLP will be apportioned .081/1 (1.053 seats)
SRDL will be apportioned .009/1 (.117 seats)

since it is obviously impossible to allocate a portion of a seat conventional rounding rulles apply (>5 up, <5 down)

IndCoa - 3
DSP - 2
PSFVP - 2
CeC - 1
SCP - 1
USMC - 1
AuP - 1
HDLP - 1
SRDL - 0

of the IndCoa's 3 seats, 2 will go to the DSP and 1 will go to the PSFVP.
Due to round off, there is still one additional seat, this will go to the CeC

IndCoa - 0

MessageThis is good, though we think you should keep the head of government position for yourself, since the AUP is already head of state.

MessageWe ask why such an insignificant party as the HDLP gets finance over one of the larger parties, and would much rather keep that seat.

MessageTo clarify, we don't see why we should be stripped of our more important seats in favor of our least useful, and why our most valued seat should go to the second-smallest party in the government.

MessageCeC also finds many faults with this, but we are voting yes just to get a cabinet in place after having the old defunct one active for far too long.

Messageyeah, it doesn't make any sense, as there are a very few essential seats and a huge pile of useless ones, and I have a disproportionally large amount of power. However, I'm thankful for the HoG position, and I won't spoil what everyone is voting for.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.
