Whereas legal gambling does provide some income for governments in the form of tax revenue, Whereas legal gambling provides rules and makes it available for law abiding citizens, Whereas the government does recognize that gambling also attracts crime elements, such as the mafia and those who attempt to fix games for their benefit, Whereas the government does recognize that some people see gambling as a way to get rich quick, and often causes those who cannot afford to use disposable income on gaming, Be it resolved that the government continue to provide the atmosphere for legal gambling to exist, but allow local governments the option to control or outlaw gaming in their communities should they be dealing with some of the negative aspects which legal gambling brings. |

Message | Our party sees both the positive and negative aspects to gambling. We believe that gambling is OK, but it should be left to the local governments to decide in the event that they feel gaming has gotten out of control and has brought negative consequences to their neighborhoods. |
