MessageOkay, you will notice them and most likely a majority will deny them. However you will notice many of them are not major changes, only small ones: the national motto for example. This is to show that we are all for change when it does eventually come around, and we would like people to please accept these proposals for the good of Rutania.

MessageAs another note, many of these are positive things for parties: you will be able to hold more quotas, include more proposals and such. There is nothing detrimental here.

MessageI haven't come across any party that has maxed out their proposals on the old system? Do we need the change?

I like the Phoenix but I really think our Motto is un-inspiring. Liberty and Equality are noble pursuits but Technology? Not very poetic :)

MessageIndeed, but I didn't believe the rest of the parties would wish to change from technology. If it were my choice it would include honour or something similar to fit with Liberty and Equality, but majority rules i'm afraid. Proposals have been maxed by previous parties, which is why we should increase it, to give others a chance to make sure they don't max out: it might not be totally needed, but then again it's not exactly got any reason to vote against it now has it?

MessageAs the oldest currently active party, let me share some history behind the current settings.

We used to have a limit of 50 proposals, but some parties started "spamming" the legislature with bills and the number was reduced to cut down on the annoyance. I think that the current quota is reasonable. I have gone up to my limit a few times while trying to define my platform, but it doesn't take long to get the proposals back.

The motto was proposed by the Deus Ex Machina party, a party composed of Artificial Intelligences. The change was passed when the cabinet was dominated by goon parties. I believe that the manatee was made the national animal during the same round of legislation.

The number of seats has been 750 for a long time; really there is no pro or con to this other than aesthetics. Seats are still assigned proportionally. I would actually like to see a much smaller number of seats, like 99 (an odd number to prevent possible ties), but the effect on each party's influence is the same.

MessageThe motto could do with a change, so let's hear some suggestions. Also, the party seat could well be brought down further, whilst I can leave the proposals idea alone I suppose. Any suggestions for changing the bill then?

MessageIf we still want to have a tripartite motto, I like "Wisdom, Honor, Courage".

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
