| Message | How can keeping two unhappy people closeted together.... be a good thing? It will be hell for them, and it will be hell for anyone close to them. Add to that the fact that the children are the most likely witnesses, and the CWFP is pushing an agenda that will scar the children of today, and wipe out what little sanctity is left in the marriages of tomorrow. |

| Message | Drang, you have it BACKWARDS!!! Divorces actually tramatize the CHILDREN b/c they have the difficult decision of choosing "which parent is best???" when they love them equally. Therefore, we believe that divorce should be legal, but ONLY in serious circumstances such as abuse and adultery. Do NOT vote for this bill for little ol' "us"? | Message | The DWP is certain that while it is hard to formulate a general quantification of different sources of trauma to children, on the whole, children are more traumatised by experiencing drastically unhappy marriages. Furthermore, this will lead to extremely detrimental long-term societal effects: children will grow up assuming marriage equates to unhappiness, therefore either withholding from marriage altogether or suffering a poverty of hope and expectation; an increase suicide rate within unhappy marriages without grounded cause for divorce; an increase of adulterous behaviour and domestic abuse out of sheer desperation to end a marriage. We are sure you'll agree that none of these consequences are desirable in the slightest. |
