MessageI propose that the Communists be excluded from the new government. The three of our parties have 317 seats. A 17-seat majority. Once we can reach a compromise, we do not need to consult anyone else. I gave DSF fewer offices but the Chancellorship. I would eaccept chancellorship in exchange for giving important ministries to DSF (Foreign Affairs, Defence etc). NAP's position is largely unchanged, we presume that ridding your cabinet of the foul stench of Marxism is reward enough?

As stated, the three of us are an absolute, unshiftable majority, so once we reach a compromise and set a good date for a vote, we will be set.

MessageDamn, that's what a few beers will do to you late at night. I'd already put my own proposal to a vote, which includes DSF but not KMP. I'm more concerned about maintaining national security than anything else, and while the socialists are on the ball with the issue, the KMP isn't.

I've had a tradition of giving the chancellorship to the largest coalition party that doesn't have head of state (in my case, the SAP-D).

MessageI'll figure this out later - tomorrow I have about six hundred miles to drive, send me a message and I might get on tomorrow night.

MessageYou think the socialists are more on the ball with national security than the KMP?

MessageSupported. Though we would rather let NAP have the position of Head of Goverment, in return we would rather govern Education and Culture. NAP is the largest and most experienced faction, it's a fair deal.

MessageOOC We will see what NAP says about it, he said he likes to let someone else have head of government when he has head of state. I am perfectly open to any compromise, what is most important to me is that we organize the right time to put this to a vote. It would really suck if someone didnt log on to vote in time and what should have been a sure thing failed.

Message@KMP: Was it you or DSF who keeps talking about the "overgrown police state"? Whoever it is, well, they're not hard enough on national security since well, yeah, it's a big priority.

I think focusing moral issues is fair enough for this coalition, since that's about all we can agree on.

We still suggest the head of government's post go to the second largest party, but if the DSF wishes we will also fill that post.

MessageOf course, a little quid pro quo here. I'd like my anti-Deltarian bill passed, too. :)

MessageLet's vote, DSF still supports this bill. We proposed the Head of State to NAP out of politeness, but since he is fine with us having the seat of Head of Goverment we have no objections.
