Bill: Revised Jakania Resolution
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2491
Description[?]:
In light of recent evidence, the GDP sees no alternative but to stop the bloodshed in Jakania. This resolution aims to: -bring both sides in the civil war to the negotiating table to work out a lasting peace -create a cease-fire in Jakania that will make this possible In order to acheive this: -The formation of the 'Jakania Commission', led by Henrik Lederman. -The Jakanian Commission will have access to 50,000 Dorvish troops to be used as peace-keepers with the possibility of another 50,000 if it requires. Any more troops will require a new mandate from the Riksdag -The Jakanian Commission will be active diplomatically in Jakania, acting as a neutral referee to negotiations and ensuring relative peace upon the ground -The JC will patrol pre-agreed borders in Jakania to ensure neither side makes an offensive; if either side does, the JC will have the authority to use whatever force it sees fit to defend itself and its position Ladies and Gentleman of the Riksdag, it may concern you to see Dorvish troops sent to an alien country risking life and limb - it is, however, the only humane thing we can do. The Free Republic of Dorvik enjoys peace and prosperity, and this gives us the means and the responsibility to aid others in this respect. We must not back down from our duty, to see the return of peace and democracy to Jakania. The longer the Civil War goes on, the deeper the scars will be and therefore both sides will become more entrenched in their ways. We must act now. |

Message | We would support this, but only if Jakania accepts the presence of our troops as peace-keepers, and we will only send 10.000, no more. |
Date | 16:56:06, November 24, 2007 CET | From | Dorvish Popular Front | To | Debating the Revised Jakania Resolution |
Message | We are confident Jakania will welcome our peace-keepers. Sending 10,000 is a massive mistake. Each party alone commands at least 100,000 militants and bearing in mind there are 3-4 party's on each side, this force will be a drop in the ocean. Not only would such a feeble force compromise the objectives of the mission, it would compromise the safety of our troops who would be unable to work safely with such little support. |
Date | 22:12:11, November 24, 2007 CET | From | Supreme Party of the Republic | To | Debating the Revised Jakania Resolution |
Message | We would like to note that because of the lack of action in the Riksdag the SPR decided to send 50,000 of its own militants to help them retrieve their country. They should be arriving in April 2491. |

Message | FPJ Leader, Stephen Fullerton: 'Unless the noble parties of The Free Republic of Dorvik intend to send troops in order to help the fascist movement, then I ask them not to send military intervention. We will not to be blamed for loss of life on the part of your soldiers.' |
Date | 00:13:17, November 26, 2007 CET | From | Supreme Party of the Republic | To | Debating the Revised Jakania Resolution |
Message | We should send more troops from our military! Another nation is sending 250,000 soldiers we should not stay behind them. let's us send 300,000 troops to Jakania, stop the civil war and prove our military power! |
Date | 18:50:45, November 26, 2007 CET | From | Jakanian Imperial Party | To | Debating the Revised Jakania Resolution |
Message | And what other country is sending military troops to our country. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
