Details

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2102
Description[?]:
On behalf of my party, I would like to personally introduce a resolution to the National Assembly. The Aldurian National Socialist Party (http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewparty.php?partyid=977), has committed numerous heinous acts against humanity, and I believe it is our nation's responsibility to demand a stop to their tyranny. This resolution will demand an immediate dissolution of the Aldurian House of Delegates on the behalf of the Egelion National Assembly, which if not dissolved will result in a complete and utter dissolution of diplomatic ties between our two nations, with the possibility of war pending if the National Socialists do not end their acts of terrorism. Message | while we share the dismay of all in the deveopments in Alduria, to demand dissolution of their House of Delegates is an outrageous act of arrogance, bordering on imperialism. To start with, it denies the Aldurians right of self-determination. AND: The National Socialists are only the plurality, NOT the majority. They do not control the House of Delegates, so why ask for its dissolution? This action will only antagonize Aldurians with foreign interference, and act to solidify the citizens are the National Socialists. This action is diplomatic foolishness! |

Message | We are not opposed to a revised statement that makes more reasonable statements. (For example, expressing concern and then threatening action should the National Socialists take any aggressive actions towards other countries, as the, cough cough, FP did during its tenure in the cabinet). |

Message | I suggest the following statement: "The Democratic Commonwealth of Egelion recognises the Aldurian right to self-determination. We express grave concern, however, over the threat to restriction of civil liberties and militarism by the National Socialist Party of Alduria. We call for them to consider the potential consequences and refrain from unnecessarily dangerous and provocative actions." |

Message | We would like to thank the UEP for their suggestion, it is a fair and reasonable compromise in wording and we'll ask the prime minister to propose a second resolution with their wording. However, considering that the free peoples of Alduria have asked for a new election to rid themselves of the NSP majority already(http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=15592), we would like to remove the final sentence and add these words to the UEP's comments... "We ask the Aldurian Republic for their attempt to find a peaceful and democratic solution to the current crisis." In addition, we'd like your opinion on the roles of ministers, whethether they work in isolation or should require general consensus before acting in the future. Since new precedent is being made due to international events, we'd like to build a policy towards this in case of future need. |
