NOTING that the Aldurian Republic has elected the National Socialist Party (NSP) to occupy 29% of the Aldurian House of Delegates,

CONCERNED that the Aldurian people gave the NSP 42% of the vote for the position of Supreme Chancellor

The Dolgarian Parliament hereby CLOSES its embassy in the Aldurian Republic, and REVOKES the diplomatic credentials of the Aldurian delegation to the Kingdom of Dolgaria, until the situation in Alduria normalizes, and

The Dolgarian Parliament hereby ANNOUNCES its intent to impose economic sanctions on Alduria if the National Socialist Party is ever permitted to be a part of the Aldurian Cabinet.

MessageI'm going to leave this in debate for a bit; especially since this is a resolution only, I want to hear any commentary on the wording before we vote on this.

MessageWe suggest the closing of our embassy in Alduria, and the Aldurian embassy here, as long as this chaos continues.

MessageBeing the jingoistic type that we are, the DUP would also encourage the forming of an international coalition to enforce a naval blockade on the Aldurian Republic if the situation persists.

MessageDLP's suggestion has been incorporated.
DUP's suggestion was considered, but I think military action is premature at this time; it may only encourage Alduria to unite in response.

MessageOur party is concerned about this situation. Our Nation must let the people of Alduria know that we don't take a stance against them, but that we are only acting against the NSP. We should use the IML, where we have 4 members as a forum to talk to them: http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/vieworganization.php?organizationid=19

MessageI do agree, and I attempted to word the resolution in such a way as it was aimed at the NSP (or the now-called Partei fr das Vaterland), and not the Aldurian government itself (which has, to its credit, refused to allow the NSP into its government in any way shape or form).

MessageHowever the IML is not a viable tool here. Only the NSP is a member there, the other parties of Alduria are not monarchies... although ironically a monarchy combined with an "Any party may propose a cabinet" would solve their problem permenently - there's no way the NSP can get an outright majority, and without that the other parties there can permenently unite against them to keep them out of power.

MessageActually... the situation in Alduria seems to have stabilized enough that this resolution might not be needed at all anymore...

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically

Random quote: "Anarchy stands for the liberation of the human mind from the domination of religion, the liberation of the human body from the domination of property, liberation from the shackles and restraints of government." - Emma Goldman
