Message | As much as I support a free internet, I cannot understand you do not wish to fight criminals who normally uses the internet to achive their goals. I find this totally irresponsible to those victims out there. |

Message | I am not against the police running investigations, per se. I am actually rather ambivalent about this bill. My reasons for proposing it are peripheral at best. First, I do support a completely uncensored internet. So I like the wording of the proposal. Second, there are somethings considered illegal which I do not think should be illegal. For example, file sharing. I have mixed feelings about art and technology patents and generally see them as a hinderance to progress. Third, tied to the second reason, I would like to see some oversight and restrictions placed on how internet investigations are run. The bill does not specifically say how the investigations are run so they may or may not be alright for my standards. Like my Foreign Aid bill, actually. I don't know that our foreign aid is being conducted inefficently or improperly. I just assumed it was being done improperly since I have heard so much of real life foreign aid is being handled without proper consideration. |

Message | Well the current law states that they can use the internet for investigation, meaning they can't manipulate the internet but only use it as evidence in criminal cases. And due to our copyright laws in this country filesharing is technically not illegal. |

Message | The reason I support this bill is the government determines what is illegal. Someday in the future or perhaps even now, this will be used to hunt down many things the government deems unfavorable. The internet is one of the few places of communication left with real free speech and non government censorship. |
