Bill: Privatising the Border

Details

Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2493

Description[?]:

Immeressence Inc propose to privatise all of our Border checkpoints and ports of entry. We will tender out selected groups, and allow winning corporations to charge an unregulated price of entry/exit.

There will be at least one set of checkpoints that are tendered to a human rights organisation, that will receive a limited subsidy, and will have to conduct full background checks. For the others, we assume that if you can afford to visit, that is recommendation enough.

Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.†- Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician
