Bill: Surplus Advantage Bill: Part 1) Income Tax
Details
Submitted by[?]: Endralon Confederates Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2493
Description[?]:
The Endralon Confederates Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Republic of Endralon. This bill, along with my other taxation bill, should take advantage of our current surplus by allowing people to their money. Since we are not using that surplus, we should let the people keep the fruits of their labor. Reminder: This, if passed along with my other bill, Part 2, should continue to keep our budget with a small surplus. |

Message | We will use the surplus to help industry compete with other nations. We have a ridiculously low per capita GDP because we have followed a non-interventionist policy on the economy for too long. |

Message | The government has no right to take our people's money and hand it out freely to big corporations and industry. I thought you were for the common man? Now you want to steal the money they earn in order to prop up industry and big business through subsidies? Your logic confuses me. |

Message | If you'd let us Industry would be in the hands of the common man. In fact due to the tax incentives for DWC's, a lot of it is - especially in Old Ginbar and Kundar. If the investment also coincides with a rise in corporation tax, which you oppose, then we will get it back. |

Message | In the hands of the common man. What exactly does that mean? If the "common man" is now put in control of the large corporations, doesn't that make him...well...uncommon? Tell me. By what right do you based the idea that man has no right to his earnings or to his property. And what philosophy is it based on? And how does logic prove you are right? |

Message | Personally I think the budget should be in the hands of the Finance Minister only. But If a budget fails, and no budget can be passed, then I think an election should be called. |
