Bill: Finance Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2494
Description[?]:
The Socialist Labour Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the United Majatran Republic of Socialist Al'Badara. Thanks to steady economic growth, we propose 84bn BDR in tax cuts by raising the bottom tax threshold from 35000 to 40000 BDR and the 55000 BDR threshold to 60000 BDR. This will remove many of the poorest in A'Badara from the income tax system altogether whilst maintaining a healthy budget surplus. We urge all parties to support these measures to fight inequality and deprivation. |
