Bill: Housing Initiative

Details

Submitted by[?]: Saiserist League

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2494

Description[?]:

"I think we are all aware of the predominant issue of homelessness. We all bemoan it, but now there is a solution to better it. This bill will establish the government as what it should be, the vanguard, the protector of the people. People who cannot afford housing nevertheless need housing, and I believe it is the responsibility of the government to attempt to provide some comfort to those unable to give comfort to themselves.
Make the right decision, thank you for your time."

-Daniel V. Feterokov, in the proposition speech to the National Directory

MessageWe of the Revolutionary Socialists honestly never expected this bill to pass. We proposed it on principle, and to get our position out to the voters. After it fails we'll propose a more moderate bill.
