These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 17:49:08, November 30, 2007 CET | From | Parti Communiste de Rildanor | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | Another Act that the PSC is keen on seeing pass. We will compromise as necessary as long as the fundamentals of this Act are not violated. |
Date | 19:39:08, November 30, 2007 CET | From | Front Canrillaise | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | This bill seems a little too extreme for the new PA. We might be able to support articles 1-3, but articles 4 and 5 regarding religious clothing and schools are too intrusive. |
Date | 01:21:15, December 01, 2007 CET | From | Front Nationaliste Royaliste | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | Article 5 is too obtrusive even for our tastes, and we have serious reservations about the State becoming so deeply involved in the religious communities. At this point, we are confident that the present conservative government would not abuse these new rights and responsibilities, but we cannot express the same confidence for a Leftist government that might arise. At this point, we give a shaky support for this bill, if Article 5 is removed. |
Date | 16:50:35, December 01, 2007 CET | From | Option Citoyenne | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | Although we have no votes, we'd like to caution against this bill blurring the lines of separation of church and state. Ensuring the church is independent of government control is just as important as ensuring the church is not in control of the state. And like everyone else: Article 5 is just not acceptable in any way. |
Date | 21:07:45, December 01, 2007 CET | From | Parti Communiste de Rildanor | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | Articles 4 and 5 have been removed in the interest of consensus, but will be presented later as part of PSC's manifesto. |
Date | 01:33:43, December 02, 2007 CET | From | Front Nationaliste Royaliste | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | We would support the former Article 4. |
Date | 01:49:25, December 03, 2007 CET | From | Parti Monarchiste Catholique | To | Debating the Acte D'Établissement D'Église |
Message | This bill infringes upon the rights of the Church. We will not support. |
