Bill: Morality Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Unity Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2499
Description[?]:
With so many resounding defeats of any attempt to protect religion from the baying pack of secularists, the NUA has decided to postpone action on the issue. However, we feel that a strong source of morality needs to be present for our nation to succeed and with the demise of religion potentially imminent, we feel there is a need for an alternative source of morality to be established in case the liberal conspirators achieve their goal. To this end, we propose that this assembly enshrines the basic principles of commonly accepted morality in law, where it will remain, incontrovertible and unchanging, for millennia. |

Message | *Trent Reznor gets up to speak* "Everyone may have their own morality, which is fine, they just should not enforce their morality on others. The government has no right to prohibit people from crossdressing. Does this mean women cannot wear trousers or shorts? Making all abortions illegal will force women to use 'back street' abortions and see many deaths due to childbirth. We prefer the status quo, a compromise between the need for abortions, and the rights of the unborn child. Suicide is not illegal, therefore we do not believe euthanasia, as long as that is consensual, to be illegal either. Not allowing women to work will be completely detrimental to the economy and to society, women are and should be treated equally. Finally, PORN rules. That is all." |

Message | All cross dressing, including those females who choose to masquerade as males, is disgusting and immoral in our eyes and those of whichever deity this country is historically associated with. Anyone willing to commit the twin betrayal of [deity] and State that is an illegal abortion, is, in our esteemed opinion, unworthy of the life that has been granted to them by the very authorities they betrayed. Suicide may not be illegal, but this is only due to the impossibility of prosecution from our mortal coil. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't attempt to bring those responsible for the crime to justice; it is still a grave atrocity and justice must be done whenever a clear perpetrator is identified. Nowhere is a perpetrator more evident than an act of euthanasia and, give the audacity of the act, it would be remiss of us to forgo an attempt at righting wrongs. While we acknowledge the vast contribution of women to the workforce, we believe that obeying the moral code laid down in [holy book] is more important than simply blindly following profit. We will not allow ancient if obscure laws to be ignored in the name of greed. |
