Bill: Bilinguism act - May 2500
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Jelbanian Party-D.L.J.-D.L.F
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2501
Description[?]:
For many years the policy of Jelbania in linguistic matters has been confused and nonlinear, with dangerous consequences for the minorities, for the economy and last but not least for the political stability of the country. For this reason we think that is arrived the moment to establish an accurate legislation on this matter, in order to avoid future problems and conflicts. Considering this preambles we propose: - The institution of the Bilinguism ( French and English language) in all the provinces of Jelbania - Preservation of the minorities like the Jelbèks with special courses in the schools and , according to an appropriate number of requests , with the Jelbek as third language - Change of name of the principals cities , with the addiction of a French or English name ( on this matter complete jurisdiction of the local governments) - Equal respect for every culture and language |

Message | We support these proposals. We do not know what to do about Jelbek though. Perhaps we can rename a city or two in Jelbek. It is a part of our culture and must be preserved in some way. UCC is assuming that we will keep the nation's name and institutions in exclusively French, right? |

Message | Yes the name of the nation will remain the same . For the Jelbek we think that our language must be preserved with curses at school and the study of the Jelbek as third language in school that have an appropriate number of requests ( maybe with the formation of classes with third languages in their curriculum) |
