Message | The proposal we are in favour of. With LNP bills being failed so far, we have taken this simple issue to a debate and would like the thoughts of the coalition parties- the URP and LLP. |

Date | 05:20:13, December 16, 2007 CET | From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Lodamun Art & Technology Protection Act |
Message | We believe the current language of "limited" protection of copyrights/technology is best. Clearly individuals should retain control over their intellectual property, but at some point -say after a certain number of years- technologies should lose their patents so as not to hold industry and further technological advancement back. The current language allows the PFP to protect intellectual property, but also the flexibility to remain in the forefront of technological innovation. |
Date | 13:09:46, December 16, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Peoples of Lodamun Party | To | Debating the Lodamun Art & Technology Protection Act |
Message | I'm going to have to agree with the URP, indefinite, overarching copyrights stifle the creation of further arts and technology. |
