Bill: Cabinet Proposal of May 2500

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2501

Description[?]:

Proposing a Cabinet to goven the Commonwealth of Rutania.

This cabinet has a majority in National Assembly, holding 350 seats in the 699 seat legislature.

I wish to form a cabinet with the Anarcho Capitalists and the Democratic Liberals as I view these two parties as the ones closely aligned with the principles of the Freedom Party.

In the interests of securing agreement, I have offered the top two roles of Foreign Affairs, and Finance to my junior coalition partners and given them three each out of the 12 positions, more than the seats share would suggest is appropriate.

MessageWhy is the second most popularly approved party excluded? Just because we are slightly more right-wing than you doesn't mean we should be treated like political lepers.

MessageActually, forming coalitions to exclude large but politically objectionable parties is part of the game.

MessageWell, in either event I oppose this bill. The seat alignments may have changed, but we all know why the Freedom Party gained more seats this time round, and that's only because you've returned. Come next elections, you'll be back down, and once more our current coalition will rise to sucess.

MessageOOC: I was as surprised as you at the result, especially considering my visibility, its not because I returned, more due to the way stances of each party fell in my favour due to the many NUA bills
