Message | We like Article 2, if you put that in a bill all by itself, we'll vote for it. However we see no reason why education should be done by the local government. National standards should be upheld, and the best way to do that is by having one government organise higher education. |

Message | National standards are terribly destructive. Sekowan education suffers by allowing politicians to act like they can determine what is best for every individual school and student in the nation. This is the sort of socialism we are trying to avoid. OOC: As someone who has worked (and currently works) in education, I have seen the damage No Child Left Behind has done in the United States. National standards like those are terrible, terrible things which impose additional restrictions on teachers and ultimately prevent students from learning, and instead encourage them simply to learn how to take standardized tests. |
