Message | We can downgrade 5 to marijuana only,, as we consider Marijuana harmless. We can also downgrade 1 to either liscensed stores but purchased by anyone, or sold anywhere but purchased by adults. The thinking behind the drinking age is that we should follow the example of countries were children are introduced to alcohol at an early age, under the supervision of parents (A glass of wine with dinner, for instance), and as a result it loses the appeal it holds in countries where it is forbidden until a certain age, countries which have high rates of alcoholism, in our opinion, as a result. We could put in a resolution that consumption of alcohol by minors is allowed only with parental supervision, and that purchase by minors is not allowed. |
