Message | "Though some of the evidence is quite laughable, this is not a matter for the Directory to handle. The Judiciary has always being independent of the State, and I hope the Leftist majority recognizes that this resolution will violate that sacred principle." ~Julian Carrol, Shadow Justice Minister |

Message | "Daniel Vladimirovich Feterokov and Amy Fallon were both arrested without a shred of proof to indicate their guilt. It doesn't seem to matter what the evidence says, and I think it has been sufficiently demonstrated that the judicial authorities cannot be trusted with this matter. This is clearly a political case, having nothing really to do with the murder of Jacob Sotheby. In a trial the verdict would hinge on whether the judge was a Democrat or a Revolutionary Socialist." -Chancellor Karl von Friedricht |

Message | "Your opinion of the Judiciary or the politics of this case count for nothing. Nor do my Party's, or any other Directory Member's. The Judiciary is independent of the State." ~Julian Carrol |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
