Details
Submitted by[?]: Ducal Delegation
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2104
Description[?]:
Aldegar has subsidised lame duck sectors of the economy like agriculture for far too long. The market must be allowed to restructure our economy along more efficient lines. Also, it is only fair that we give third world countries more of a chance at exporting agricultural produce, so that they can earn their way out of debt and poverty. |

Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government agricultural and farming subsidies policy.
Old value:: The government subsidises the operations of low-income farming families.
Current: The government allows local governments to craft agricultural subsidy policy.

Message | Although we regret the inpact that this would have on low-income farmers in Aldegar, Novy Smer will support this bill since we believe that this is the right way to help alleviate world poverty. It will enable third world growers to get a fairer deal. A price worth paying for the right thing to do. |

Message | The truth of the matter is that the passing of this bill would SUBTRACT from the overall economic growth of Aldegar. It has already been proved in Spain that the decision to not give subsidies to farmers in the area of pines (you have to ask for it) has persuaded farmers to avoid working on their pines, consequently starting most forest fires, and detracting from the Spanish economic benefit. To this this agriculturally wide would ensure that Aldegar's agricultural sector will quickly die, destruying the nation's economy by decreasing possible imports, and increasing vital exports. |
