Message | Why the pluralistic approach you wish to encourage is admirable, it is not the place of that state to subsidize faith. One's faith is a private individual matter unique to one's self. It should be allowed to flourish within a state, but should never be tampered with by that state. By encouraging the proselytization of any faith, we directly affirm that faith's tenants by aiding its spread. We have to keep that state and faith independent of each other. |
Date | 21:01:00, December 17, 2007 CET | From | Yellow Party | To | Debating the Missionaries for the Universal Mid-Millennial Encouragement of Religious Speech Act (MUMMERS Act) |
Message | We support current legislation. We prefer a serious separation of church and state in domestic and foreign affairs. |
Date | 01:49:19, December 18, 2007 CET | From | Monarchal Conservatives | To | Debating the Missionaries for the Universal Mid-Millennial Encouragement of Religious Speech Act (MUMMERS Act) |
Message | The Government has to right to impede, or aid, any religion. In addition, though this may seem paranoid, it could also present a security risk. How many spies do you think would take advantage of being rushed into the country as a missionary? Unrealistic as it may seem, it is entirely possible. On no level is this bill acceptable. |
